Lovely Ranganath
Lovely Ranganath started her career as a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Licensed Clinical Dietitian and has 20+ years of UAE work experience in both the Healthcare and Hospitality industry. She’s worked with reputed organisations like Welcare Mediclinic Hospital, Al Zahra Hospital, and the Dubai World Trade Centre. As a dietitian, she has assessed and counselled multicultural clients on their nutritional status, coordinated with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals about her client’s progress, needs, and treatment, and prepared informational handbooks, manuals, and menu cards for clients. In her work with the Dubai World Trade Centre’s Hospitality division, she was able to conduct research, collaborate with government authorities like Dubai Municipality to implement lifestyle supportive initiatives, and support a retail product development team with sourcing trending healthy grab and go products, to name a few. Her core areas of interest are culinary nutrition workshops for chefs, nutrient profiling, menu or recipe development for F&B entities, and nutrition workshops for the general population. She has also contributed her expertise to UAE-based newspapers, magazines, radio, and television channels such as Friday magazine, Gulf News, City 101.6, and Ajman TV. The pandemic gave her time to slow down and reflect on what she wanted to do next in life. Integrity has always been a key value to her and she’s a firm believer in empowering people through education. That led her to combine her two passions of nutrition and education to form Good Food Guru - an online educational platform to help personal chefs and chefpreneurs promote a sustainable and healthier lifestyle while minimising food cost and maximising wellbeing. She also aims to help people learn what’s good to eat for their bodies and help the average person who may not be able to calorie count, afford organic produce, or may not like certain foods, to be able to lead a healthier and happier life through their diet.
